China discovers potentially fatal new virus passed to humans from shrews

China has discovered a potentially fatal new virus that is believed to have been passed to humans by shrews. Being under the Henipavirus umbrella, it has the potential to do some serious damage. WHO data classifies Henipavirus with a 40-75% fatality rate.
