Here are two lightbulbs that I turned into Christmas ornaments about 20 years ago! My daughter was in Girl Scouts and I collected a lot of lightbulbs for the girls to paint. These 2 are my samples to show them:
It's easy to paint these with acrylic paints. Make sure you buy a quality paintbrush though with a fine tip for details. Spray them with a glossy spray when you're done and they'll last for decades.
