How do you decide on which software to use? With blogs it can be pretty simple since WordPress dominates the market and in most cases can be a 1-click install with hosting providers.

But when it comes to forums, there are many options to choose from, such as MyBB, phpBB, xenForo, vBulletin, etc.


How do you make your final decision?

I never look forward to using premium software. Generating revenue is very difficult and when you use premium software, your running cost will be very high. I always decide between the free options. My choice depends on the popularity of the software and the ease of use.
