Any preference?

I have always been into taking photography, especially landscape photos. I have a DSLR which I used for some years but always found taking photos on my iPhone was so much easier and convenient.

First, you don't need to carry around a big camera, second all the adjustments and controls for aperture, focus, shutter speed, etc. are done automatically. I'll usually take pictures with my phone and edit them in Adobe Lightroom

I still find DSLRs to be a better photo, at least when you get to higher-cost models. However, I use my phone camera as I am not a photographer by any means and my Pixel takes good enough photos. Plus I do not know most of the settings on a DSLR and my photos will often turn out worse than the basic camera settings if I try anything.

Hey

As technology continues to advance, it can be tough to decide whether to invest in a traditional DSLR camera or stick with the camera on your smartphone. Both have their pros and cons, so I thought it might be helpful to start a discussion about the strengths and weaknesses of each type of camera.
Pros of DSLR cameras:
  • Generally have better image quality and low light performance
  • More control over manual settings such as aperture, ISO, and shutter speed
  • Interchangeable lenses for greater versatility
  • Durable and built to last
Pros of phone cameras:
  • Convenient and always with you
  • Many newer models have excellent image quality
  • Easy to share photos online
  • Often have fun features like portrait mode and filters
Ultimately, the decision will come down to your needs and preferences. Do you need the highest image quality possible? Do you value the convenience of a phone camera? Consider your priorities and do some research to find the best option for you.
