Is technology killing society?

Do you think technology is making us more or less connected as a society? Why?

I feel like it is not being natured correctly with the new generations. And that is not a shot at the upcoming generations, but more so a failure at the current leadership being out of touch on how to reinforce the positives and discourage the negatives. Tech has given us the entire world of information in our pockets, something humans couldn't even dream of years ago. But it has also given us numerous mental health and cultural problems.
