That's an interesting concept. What would be the consequences if they didn't?

I think it might curb election fraud it every one had to go and vote because it would catch the cheaters right away. There has to be a way to make it easy to vote and not have election fraud.

Not sure exactly what the consequences would be, maybe some sort of fee?

Obviously there would have to be an effective opt-out option for individuals who may not be able to vote because of a disability, sickness, etc.

It just cause people to vote just to follow the law. If someone isn't interested in voting then why should they be forced too?

I really don't want people who do not care enough to vote to be forced to the voting booth just to make a uniformed decision. There are enough actual active voters that make uninformed decisions as it is.
