Have you ever used an advertisement method that was a complete waste of time?

What are some poor ways to advertise your forum?

I don’t know if there is a bad way really. We have to just try & see. What I personally think doesn’t work is advertising a forum on a social media platform. They are two very different groups of people. When I had advertised before on social media & had a few come over, they were very intimidated by how “big” a forum is.

Posting in Discord servers, Twitch streams, and just spamming your link anywhere.

Discord has always been a horrible experience. There are actually promotion-based Discords for admins, but they are a spammy nightmare.
