Do reviews affect your decision to watch a movie?

Now of course most of us would not watch an unfamiliar movie title if it had mostly bad reviews, but what about movie titles you were looking forward to or enjoyed the trailer?

Would you still watch a movie if you read lots of negative reviews on it?


I can say there's been many times when I've been looking forward to a movie being released, only to be disappointed by the reviews once it hits theaters.

I take reviews with a grain of salt. If the majority of the reviews are negative but I still was interested, I have given the show or movie a chance. But it has to catch my interest within the first 10 or so minutes or I leave.
