Overview​

It's October 1st, the start of Spooktober and also The Chat Society's 2-month birthday! To kick off the celebration, we are hosting 2 competitions in one event to celebrate our milestone and the spooky season.

Who can enter?​

All TCS members

How do I enter?​

You don't have to do anything! All members are automatically entered if you create a thread or refer a new member during October.

Thread Competition​

All threads created from today, October 1, 2022 to October 31, 2022 at 11:59 PM EDT will be counted toward your totals.​

Referral Competition​

All referrals from today, October 1, 2022 to October 31, 2022 at 11:59 PM EDT will be counted toward your totals.​

Note: all threads/ referrals before or after the above timeframe are appreciated but will not be counted toward this contest. Replies (posts) will not count toward this competition, only newly created discussions (threads). All referrals must use your referral link.​

How will the winner be chosen?​

During the first week of November, all threads created and referrals will be counted and the awards (see below) will be gifted to the 1st and 2nd place winners with the most threads and referrals.

• There will be 2 different winners. If a member wins one contest (thread contest or referral), they may not win the alternative contest. If one member is in first place for both, they will be awarded for one of the competitions and the second prize will be handed to the runner up.

• All forum rules apply - click here
• Staff are not allowed to enter, giving more chances to TCS members.
• Spamming will not be tolerated, threads must contain a decent amount of context and should persuade further discussion.
• Referral links must be used to count toward referral totals (see "How do I enter?" section above).
• DO NOT create multiple accounts as referrals. This will be checked and you will be disqualified from this competition + further action may be taken.
• The giveaway will run for the entirety of October, ending on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:59 pm EDT. All entries after this time will not be admitted.
• Winners will be announced during the first week of November.
• Winners may choose which type of gift card they'd like (cannot be a physical gift card or one with fees).

1st Place: $30 Gift Card of your choice + a "TCS Contest Winner" badge + 10 quality posts on your own forum​

2nd Place: Sticky topic in the Promotion Portal section for 1 month+ 3 months of Elite Society​

Referral Contest​

1st Place: $30 Gift Card of your choice + a "TCS Contest Winner" badge + 10 quality posts on your own forum​

2nd Place: Sticky topic in the Promotion Portal section for 1 month + 3 months of Elite Society​
