When I was in art school, some of my friends said that before they got their careers going that they made money by being a substitute teacher at the schools. I didn't try that out until my daughter was in high school and it worked out well for vacation and holidays. Plus, if she was sick, I didn't have to accept a call to go in and could be with her. I was a sub for around 5 years and I had a love/hate relationship with it. There were a lot of cool kids and some not so cool kids. Breaking up fights was the worst because you couldn't touch them. I've never been one to yell and the one time I yelled during a fight, it shocked the students so much that they stopped fighting LOL
